A-Rod

What are the odds A-Rod goes down the “I only did it the one time” path or the “it was a false positive” path. As one of the most image conscious athletes in sports today, this is a major blow. I’m no fan of the Yankees but I truly hope he takes the high road and apologizes quickly. He must have learned something from the Clemons mess, right?
It has always seemed clear to me who’s doing HGH or steroids. I was a huge Yankee fan growing up in NY until Thurman Munson died, that crushed me. As a kid I thought Reggie Jackson was the strongest man in the world. He was built like a brick wall and when he got up to bat you could tell he was using all his strength to hit the ball over the wall. Reggie only hit 40+ HR’s twice in his 20 year career, ARod has already hit 40+ HR’s 8 time in 14 years. How often did you see Reggie just reach out over the plate (off balance) and flick his bat at the ball to get a home run. For the past 10 years or so it seems to me that more guys are hitting HR’s off balance, with just there hands then ever before. Come on!
HGH and Steroids are a fact of sports and a large majority of athletes use or have used them. It was well known that pitchers were the first big user’s of steroids in order to heal faster between starts. Currently there’s no test for HGH so you can be sure it’s the drug of choice in all sports. Face it, a 40 HR season will get you paid, at least by the Yankees.
